Holiday in Villaputzu and Costa Rei in 2019

The town of Villaputzu can be found in the South East of Sardinia, very close to the Ogliastra region.

As well as being a popular tourist resort among families, Villaputzu has an important archaeological and naturalistic heritage. The castle of Quirra and the coastal towers of Porto Corallo represent the most important medieval buildings in the area. This place was inhabited since the Neolithic age. Many remains can still be found that confirm the human presence here since remote times: several well preserved nuraghi and Domus de Janas can still been seen.

Just a few kilometers from the town center there are some lovely beaches. Among the most popular is the one in Porto Corallo, close to the Villaputzu Marina.

The marina of Porto Corallo occupies a great location. It is the starting point for boat trips going South to the nearby Costa Rei resorts, and heading North, towards the famous beaches of Cala Goloritzé, Cala Mariolu and Cala Luna.

The weather in Villaputzu reflects that of the coastal areas of Sardinia, it has an excellent mild climate for about nine months of the year.

Villaputzu offers great accommodation options for families looking for a tranquil and relaxing seaside resort in 2019.
