Arzachena is one of the most famous little town of Gallura, in the north-east of Sardinia. ArzachenaIt is a tourist resort due to its renowned and beautiful coast of the Mediterranean sea, the Costa Smeralda which has a lot of gorgeous sandy inlets and crystal clear water. Arzachena is very crowded during the summer but nowadays it is trying to be an important resort during the low season too.
The Arzachena's territory is about 250 km2, with 80 km of coast. The village has about 10.000 residents and represents one of the most important towns of Gallura, especially for tourism and economy. Other than Costa Smeralda, another important resort is Baja Sardinia, located just in front of La Maddalena Archipelago and Cannigione, a village situated in the west side of the gulf of Arzachena. Cannigione is a fishermen village with a small and busy port especially in summer, that makes tourism its main economic resource.
