The cult in the region  of Campidano

The Infiorata: on the last Sunday of May, in the Basilica of Nostra Signora di Bonaria, in Cagliari, the "Infiorata" concludes the month dedicated to Maria. It is about a floral composition (long slightly more than twenty meters and two meters wide) that crosses in all its length the central nave of the church . For the 2005, a group of volunteers of the sanctuary had prepared seven pictures representing the Cross with the Eucharist, the Virgin of Bonaria, the new papal crest, Pope Benedict XVI, the symbol of the World Youth Day (Colonia 2005) and a sailing ship with the crest of the Mercedari Fathers. These painting are treasured in the simulacrum of the Madonna, covered in the petals of thousands flowers of various colors and quality.

Sant’Andrea: since 1626, Sant’Andrea is celebrated on the last Sunday of November, in the tiny country church of XIII the century A.D., in Flumini di Quartu, in the littoral that connects the Poetto of Quartu Sant’Elena to Villasimius. Documents of the XVII century testify the importance given to this event by the Spanish Viceroy. The organization is entrusted to an obriere and to a group of local notaries.

Santa Lucia: from centuries in Monastir, Santa Lucia is celebrated in the Byzantine church of the XIII century A.D. dedicated to her (widely restructured 400 years later). On the last Sunday of August, the simulacrum is transported in a procession from the parish of San Pietro, to the little country church, where the religious rituals are carried out followed by horse races and folklorist and musical entertainments.

Nativity of the Beata Vergine Maria: around the important religious recurrence of the 8th of September, the church of Saint Maria becomes the reference point of Uta town, when the rituals of devotion to the Mother of Jesus are carried out. On the evening of the 7th of September, a chariot with the effigy of the Madonna go across the town's streets. The roads get covered in rose petals.
