The Madonna of Mesu Austu on a gilded bed in Bosa

“Nostra Signora ‘e Mesu Austu” in Bosa spoken dialect literally means “Our Lady of Half August” and refers to the feast of Ferragosto, celebrating the Madonna Assumption to the Father house. From the cathedral of the Beata Vergine Maria Immacolata, on the late afternoon of the 15th of August, starts a procession with the simulacrum laid down on a wooden gilded bed. This is a very suggestive event, also thanks to the sunset colours reflecting into the river Temo.
