Is Arenas (Narbolia, province of Oristano)

Is Arenas beach is situated in Narbolia. It is almost 6 kilometres long, one of the longest beaches of the province of Oristano, and it is called with this name for the presence of huge dunes. Since the beginnings of the XX Century pinetrees and thorntrees have been planted. The coastline is characterized by l sand with shades of yellow and red with golden reflections mixed to pebbles and shells. In some places the beach has got grains like rice. The landscape is enriched by Montiferru woods. Towards the sea you can see Capu Mannu, where the Sinis Peninsula born. It is an ideal place for people who love windsurf.

 

How to reach the beach

It is possible to reach the beach taking the SS 292 from Santa Caterina di Pittinurri. Then continue in direction to Oristano for 3,3 km where you have to turn on the right in a dirt road. After 400 metres there is Is Arenas beach.
