Torregrande (Cuglieri, province of Oristano)
Torregrande beach is situated in Cuglieri. The sandy shore is characterized by golden sand with big grains mixed to fine gravel. The name of Torregrande comes from Sa turri manna (The Big Tower), which is the biggest tower between the others of the Spanish Age situated along Sardinian coasts. The beach is a nice place for families with children. It is possible to do diving, snorkeling and surfing.
How to reach the beach
Leaving Oristano take the highway SP 1 direction to Cuglieri, near the Sanctuary of the Rimedio, turn on direction to Torregrande which is not far from Oristano (about ten kilometres).
Services
The beach offers the following services: disabled people facilities and a large parking where campers can stop. Also there are hotels, campisite, restaurans and bars. It is possible to rent beach ombrellas, pedalos, deckchairs and to go on horse in one of the many riding schools of the place.
