Mari Pintau (Quartu Sant'Elena, province of Cagliari)

Mari Pintau beach is situated in Quartu Sant’Elena.Its sandy shore is characterized by silky white sand mixed to pebbles and gravel. It has been called Mari Pintau (“painted sea” in Sardinian dialect) for its crystal clear blue water. The shallowness of the water makes the beach an ideal place for children who can play on the shore peacefully. Also it is a good place for scuba diving. In low season naturism is allowed.

 

How to reach the beach

Take the road 17: the beach is situated near the village of Geremeas. For reaching the beach you have to go on foot through a path where a luxuriant Mediterranean vegetation grows.

 

Services

The beach provides the following services: a little parking, a bar, a restaurant. Nearby the beach you can find some pubs where to spend a good time especially in summer nights. It is possible to rent beach ombrellas, deckerchairs and pedalos.
