Porto Giunco (Villasimius, province of Cagliari)

Porto Giunco beach is situated in Villasimius. It is characterized by silky white sand. Its crystal clear water has been chosen as the set for tv advertisement. Nearby the beach there is the pond of Notteri where pink flamingos live. The shallowness of the water make the beach an ideal place for children. Also it is a good place for surfing and scuba diving.

 

How to reach the beach

Leaving Villasimius take the road in Southern direction. After the pond of Notteri, you have to follow the road signs to go to the beach. It can be reach passing through a path situated among a wood of eucalyptus.

The beach offers: disabled people facilities, parking, hotel, bar, restaurant and pubs where you can enjoy especially in summer nights. Also you can rent beach ombrellas, deckerchairs and pedalos.
