Monti Russu (Tempio, province of Olbia-Tempio)

Monti Russu is located near Tempio. The huge expanse is surrounded by junipers and dunes; the sea floor is characterized by fine white sand. Monti Russu has been included among the Natural Reserves by the regional law 31/89 and it has been recognized as site of Community Interest by the Ministry of the Environment. It is possible to see the many birds species, that find shelter in this calm environment. This sea stretch is an ideal place for snorkeling and to practise windsurf.

How to reach the beach

It can be reached covering the provincial road 90, between Castelsardo and Santa Teresa di Gallura and following the signs to the beach, then you will find a pinewood and a parking area: from there you have to reach the beach on foot.
