Kilometers of beaches in the protected sea area of the Sinis
The coast of the Sinis peninsula is quite varied. It is possible to pass from the cliff of Capo Mannu to the adjacent to the inlet of Sa Mesa Longa, where crop out sandstone rocks (the material used to build the ancient town of Tharros), from the cliffs of Su Tingiosu and other rocky points to the beaches with fine and white sand.
The longest ones are, without doubts, those of Su Siccu (about 7 kilometers) and Is Arenas (6 kilometers) but also very charming are those of Su Pallosu, Is Aruttas, Maimoni and San Giovanni.
The sea, which washes this part of the coast, is included in The protected marine area of the Sinis-Isola di Mal di Ventre (instituted in 1997 by the Minestry of the Environment).
