Numerous carpenters of Marmilla produce still today artefacts in value wood. In the workshops of Mogoro are produced mostly objects of everyday use, like chopping boards, meat and fruit trays, carving forks, wooden spoons and bowls of several sizes. Mogoro is also famous for the production of straw chairs.
In Arborea is predominant the gift goods production: from the chopping boards to the bowls, from the wooden spoons to the containers of several sizes and typologies. Santa Giusta is the locality that boasts the greater tradition in this field.
In Sassari there are many workshops in which the wood is carved to produce chopping boards, wooden spoons, bowls and other objects of domestic use.
The straw chairs (simple, without any particular ornamentation, as instead it happens in other zones of Sardinia) and the furniture are the pride of the craftsmen of Orosei, that work the wood, handing on this ancient tradition from generation to generation.
Still today the Barigadu boasts woods and fine trees (sessile oak, walnut, chestnut tree, cherry tree, oleaster), that have always supplied quality timber. Among the villages in which you can find quality workshops, we mention Samugheo, specialized in the production of furniture, stools, chairs and Sardinian chests.
Buddusò (Goceano) is a center specialized in the production of gift goods in wood like wooden spoons, chopping boards, containers for the kitchen of several sizes and shapes.
In Nuorese, among all, shine the craftsmen of Oliena, Nùoro and Orani.
Villagrande Strisàili is one of the villages of Ogliastra of greater tradition in the field of the wood carving.
In Sarcidano many are the carpenters that still today produce wooden art facts of good value. In the workshops of Isili are especially produced objects of everyday use, like chopping boards, meat and fruit trays, carving forks, wooden spoons and bowls of several sizes.
In Trexenta the carpenters are appreciated for the production of agriculture tools, but also gift goods for the house. Guasila boasts a great tradition in the production of bawls and chopping boards.
