Still today the organs in Segariu are constructed with the pipes
In Segariu, a village which once boasted a great tradition in the construction of Sardinian roof-tiles (produced with mixes of clay and straw), there is a family owned company (led by Giuseppe and Roberto Palmas) that still hand down an original tradition (by now reserved to few cleaver craftsmen in Italy) which is the tradition of the organ-man. In 2004 they completed the pipe-organ for the cathedral of Iglesias, but they are always at work, in order to restore and to guarantee the maintenance to the ancient organs scattered in the churches all over Sardinia.
