In Sassari the leather was already worked in the Middle Age
Sassari boasts a great tradition in the leather-working, since the Medieval period, when the horse was the main mean of transport. Today, bags and belts are mostly produced, but also other ordinary objects and all the equipment for horse-riding, from the saddle to the bridles.
