Desulo and Tonara keep the Barbaricine tradition
In some centers of the Barbagie (especially in Tonara and Desulo ) the working of hides is still an important tradition to be kept alive. The most common products are: bags and belts, but also bridles, saddle and horse-riding tackle. Over the last past years the commerce of gift and fancy goods has expanded especially on the youth market, starting with leather necklaces and bracelets. However, in general, horse-riding tackle constitutes the main market slice of the produced and sold goods.
