In Cagliari and Quartu the masters of the goldsmith's art

Cagliari boasts numerous goldsmith's shops, especially in the old town center. Still today in the quarter of Castello you may find many artists, who realize very beautiful cameos. In the Cathedral is preserved a processional Cross realized in the 1400's, one of the most beautiful examples of the remarkable artistic production of the age.

In Campidano, Quartu Sant' Elena is famous for its tradition in the creation of brooches, buttons of great value, rings (as the Sardinian wedding rings) and bracelets: the costume of this city is one of the few that set off the bracelets that women wore on the wrists. Very appreciated also the filigree works.
