
Baskets for every need from wetland plants
The craftsmen of Castelsardo and Tergu (Anglona) realize particular baskets (also in big dimensions) and hampers of the Sardinian tradition, using the small palm (a plant that nowadays in Sardinia is unfortunately less diffused than before) and colored raffia for the decorations.
Campidano
Maracalagonis boasts a great tradition in the production of baskets, hampers and other containers of several dimensions, with or without lid. These containers were used to store or transport food (bread, sweets, fruit) and objects (for example ball of thread, needles, and pins). Even the flour sieves were realize in this material.
Marghine-Planargia
Flussio, Montresta and, even if in smaller measure, Bosa boasts a great tradition in the production of baskets, hampers and other containers of several dimensions, with or without lid. These containers were used to store or transport food (bread, sweets, fruit) and objects (for example ball of thread, needles, and pins). Even the flour sieves were realize in this material.
