Olzai and Ollolai, the basketwork lives in mountain as well

The swampy plants grow all over Sardinia, also in the inner zones. This is the reason why it doesn't wonder that even mountain villages like Olzai and Ollolai (Barbagie) have kept alive the ancient tradition in the creation of baskets and hampers of several sizes, with or without cover. These containers were employed in order to conserve or to transport food (bread, cakes, fruit) and objects (like for example balls of wool, needles, pins, thread).
