The Barbagie: the ideal place to discover the vast wooded areas

In the Barbagie there is only an embarrassment of riches if you want to stop in the wooded areas. Among the most beautiful, we mention those of Montarbu (it is for a good part in the area of Seui, which borders on the Ogliastra), Arase (near Aritzo) and Uatzu (between Belvì and Tonara) that all belong to the Azienda Foreste Regionali (Regional Forests Corporation), except the state-owned forest of Montes (area of Orgosolo). Very fascinating are also the woods on the mountains between Seulo and Sadali, furrowed by canyons.

In the Supramonte of Orgosolo, in the Badde Tureddu locality, we suggest to visit some centuries-old evergreen oaks, which grow near a stream: they are important amenities for tourists. Real natural monuments which deserve conservation and respect.
