Slake your thirst at the spring of Gutturu Pala
Sulcis-Iglesiente for the origin of its rocks, is rich in springs. Near the cave of Su Mannau (Fluminimaggiore), among the calcareous mountains that attract thousands tourists every year, it is possible to admire the spring of Gutturu Pala.
Beside one of the two entrances of the San Giovanni cave (Domusnovas), there is a big spring which supplies water to the town and to Cagliari as well.
Very old but still working the spring of Is Solus, in Sant'Antioco, which was built by Romans during the III century B.C.
Not to be missed are the waterfalls of Muru Mannu, in the park of the Monte Linas, in the middle of the quadrilateral formed by the towns of Domusnovas, Fluminimaggiore, Gonnosfanadiga, and Villacidro. A drop of about 70 meters in a wonderful natural setting. The Monte Linas offers other important waterfalls: this is certainly the richest area of Sardinia from this point of view.
In the area of Villacidro, the Rio Coxinas, with the waterfall of Sa Spendula, makes its last wonderful drop in a gully turned to the Campidano. Between Villacidro and Gonnosfadaniga there are some other waterfalls like those of Piscinas Irgas and Gutturu Fenegu.
