The Mandrolisai wine is named after the area where it is produced.

The D.O.C. (Denomination of checked origin) Mandrolisai wine, which is named after the Mandrolisai area, is produced from a species of vine diffused all around the hilly parts of that region. Besided an intense family production the only one "Cantina Sociale" is that of Sorgono, which is trying to increase the growings and to replace all old equipments. The D.O.C. Mandrolisai could be vinified also as rosé wine.
