Anise bread, focaccia of Alghero
Anise bread: do not confuse it with the “anicini”, typical little sweets quite popular in Sardinia. Anise bread is a specialty of really few pastry chefs of Alghero: it has the shape of a “focaccia”, a thin crust in bronze colour, and the central part is soft and flavoured with anise liqueur. Anise bread is best eaten for breakfast.
