The Pecorino of Osilo, for those who love spicy foods
The Pecorino of Osilo is a cheese made of ovine milk. It takes its name from the town of origin, even if its production extends to other localities around Sassari, arriving to Nurra. It has a cylindrical shape, a yellowish thin crust, a soft paste that becomes harder with seasoning. The seasoned Pecorino of Osilo has a strong and spicy taste. It is excellent both as a table cheese and as an ingredient, for example grated on top of first courses.
