The communal Statutes for the justice and the public accounts
In the 1294 Sassari was equipped with its Statutes, written in Latin and subsequently translated into Logudorese language. But Genoa reserved the right of control, sending every year a podestà that presided the major Consiglio of the city (composed of hundred “juratos”). Each of the four quarters elected four delegates: the sixteen elders, that constituted the minor Consiglio. Justice and public money were managed in that way.
