
Pula
Pula is one of the main tourist localities of the south-west Sardinia. It is located nearly at the border between Sulcis-Iglesiente and Campidano, in a strategic point for the summer holidaymakers (houses and venues for restoration and entertainment) but also for those, who would love to explore Sardinian countryside during the coolest months. On the month of March in Pula is held the tomato Festival. The international fame of this town can also be attributed to the blazoned Is Molas Golf Club, one of the most evocative golf course of Italy: many golf of the international elite have played in its 18 holes.
At few kilometres from Pula, there is Nora, ancient city founded by the Phoenician people in the VIII century B.C., in which also the Cartaginese and Roman civilisations stopped. It is an archaeological site, one of the most important and best kept in Sardinia: very beautiful is Tanit, the amphitheatre, the temple of Esculapio and the spa. Close to Nora there is the ancient little church of Sant' Efisio, donated to the Vittorini monks of Marseilles from the Giudice of Cagliari in 1089. it was consecrated in the XI century A.D., after the Vittorini reconstruction works on an early Christian construction, the oxcart of the Saint martyr patron of Cagliari arrives to the little church accompanied by a long procession that characterizes Sant' Efisio Festival on the 1° oft May.
