Seui

The historical center of Seui is very characteristic, embellished with iron balconies produced by the local craftsmen. In this town, it is possible to visit the interesting Museum of the peasant civilization and of the farming and mining activities. In the heart of Seui, there is a small jail, going back to the Spanish domination, in use until to the twentieth century.

On the15 July, in honour of Madonna del Carmelo, a big celebration takes place in the homonym rustic church at the town's periphery, where are kept the numerous “ex vow” of those people devoted to the Madonna. In the two days dedicated to the feast, the town widows gather to pry from morning to evening, while the population participate to folklorist events, that also attract many tourists.

In the surrounding territory are present numerous archaeological sites. We suggest you to see Ardasai's nuragic site, in the area of the naturalistic Montarbu Oasis: in this wood, precisely in the locality of Funtana Su Canali, it is possible to admire an old live oak.
