According to an archaeological point of view the Gairo zone is very interesting, thanks to the nuragic village of Is Tostoinus, where it is possible to admire some nuraghs and numerous huts. Not far from there, you could visit the Domus de Janas ( Fairy Dwellings)of Scalarrana (III millennium B.C.) and/or the Giant's Tomb of Is Tostoinus. In Gairo proximity, you could also find the cave of Taquisara, which despite being less known compare to other natural cavities of the area, it is likewise fascinating.

In the land of Villagrande Strisàili, there are numerous Domus de Janas still in good conditions, for example: Su Strumpu, Coile Bruxiau, S’Orciada e Corte ‘e Marceddu.

Seven Giant's Tombs are located inside Santa Barbara's wood (Villagrande Strisàili), an authentic peaceful oasis. Villagrande Strisàili boasts one of the most important nuragic civilization site: in S’Arcu ‘e Forros it is possible to visit two temples with well and one “a megaron” temple .

Sa Domu ‘e S’Olìa is the name of the Loceri's museum-house, recently restaured. It is here possible to discovered an accentuated interest for the local agropastoral culture, in particular concerning the spread olive cultivation and oil production.
