Perdasdefogu
Perdasdefogu is a town of Salto di Quirra, famous for the beauty of its surrounding mountains, beside the military bases. It is worth visiting the early-Romanesque church of Saint Sebastiano, constructed between the IX and the XI century. The inner structure (for example the arches that separate the three aisles) is similar to that one of some churches in Catalogna. On the 12th of September a procession of faithful leaves from Perdasdefogu following the simulacrum of San Salvatore to the little rustic church dedicated to him, carrying "on pannu": it consists on two twisted canes covered in colored fabric, which symbolize the farmers "ex vow", who in the past used to asked the Saint for the protection of their cultivations.
In the territory of Perdasdefogu, next to the Rio Luesu, there are numerous natural caves with stalactites and stalagmites. The Luesu's waterfalls are among the most beautiful natural jewels in the zone.
In the town proximity, you will find the Nuragic spring of Giuanni Puddu, the Park of Bruncu Santoru (the paths are well in evidence) and an example of trilobite construction the S’Orcu nuragh.
