Mogoro
Mogoro is a country of Marmilla that boasts a great tapestries and carpets tradition using the "a pibiones" technique: for this reason we suggest you not to miss the carpet Fair and the ancient tapestry Exhibition. In the artisan laboratories of Mogoro are realized valuable straw chairs, beside chopping blocks, trays, big forks, cook-wares and wooden mugs. Since 1580 Mogoro renews the traditional appointment for the veneration of San Bernardino from Siena, with a procession that leaves from the homonym church of the XIII century to the church dedicated to Sant' Antioco: in this last one numerous ex vows are conserved. The celebrations last three days. We suggest you to visit the late romantic-gothic church dedicated to the Madonna del Carmelo.
At the town entrance, next to the Cantina Sociale (Social Wine cellar), do not miss the trilobite nuragh called Cuccurada.
