Ittiri
In Ittiri we suggest visiting the parochial church dedicated to San Pietro in Vincoli. The original structure goes back to the XV century but the facade has been rebuilt in the end of the XIX century. In its interior it is possible to admire the high altar, entirely constructed in wood. Outside of the town, in direction of Banari, there is the little church of Santa Maria di Coros (XIII century), recently refurbished after years of abandonment.
In this locality of Logudoro operate craftsmen appreciated for the carpets worked with the “pibìonis” tecnique (grains similar to grapes), that have been recently recovered by the domestic market, both for the blankets in raw wool and finely colored (in this territory are particularly appreciated those of Pozzomaggiore, called fressadas), and for those in cotton and linen (faùnas).
