
Orosei
Orosei is a medium dimension town of Baronìe. We suggest you to visit three churches: Sant' Antonio Abbot (surrounded by the "cumbessias", that in the past used to host pilgrims, and the lodge for the sale of handicraft and eating-and-drinking products on the occasion of the most important festivities), Our Lady of the Remedy and San Giacomo Maggiore. A Pisan tower, the medieval prisons and some houses of XIX century educated families are located in the historical centre.
The Guiso Museum accommodates a permanent exhibition of puppet theaters and dioramas, delight for children and adults. The local chisellers work with great ability the blocks of calcareous rocks. The furniture and the chairs made with straw by the local craftsmen are in high demand, as also the ceramics. Orosei is a city devoted to the Madonna, and in gets quite popular especially for the festivities of Santa Maria'e Mare (with a procession along the Cedrino river) and of Ours Lady of the Remedy.
Nature lovers cannot miss the natural Oasis of Bidderosa.
