To visit in the territory of Sedilo

Very interesting also the surrounding territory, especially from the environmental and archaeological point of view. In locality Iloi there are the rests of the nuragh Serra Linta and the great surrounding nuraghic village, but also of some "domus de janas". Not very distant, the nuraghs of Lighei and Lure. In the same area you will also look at two giants' tombs: one in particular is still in a good state of preservation. In the countrysides of Sedilo, it is possible to visit the graves of Busoro and Battos-Monte Majore, but is worth a visit also the sacred source of Puntan’Arcu. At few kilometers of distance, the Omodeo lake separates Barigadu from Montiferru: it is the most extended catch basin of Italy and one of the widest in Europe. In the periods of maximum dryness it is possible to see some archaeological rests and the petrified forest of Zuri, which formed 30 millions years ago as a consequence of huge volcanic eruption: currently it is submerged by the water of the basin.
