Places to visit in the territory of Fordongianus

Busachi, at approximately 20 minutes by car, in its historical centre conserves the Cottejana site, with about twenty "domus de janas". One of them, known with the name of Grugos is characterized by a “taurine protome” (a relief representing a bull) carved next to the entrance, with longer horns than the normal but really precise in the stylistic shape. The desecrate church of San Domenico hosts the Linen and Costume Museum: a permanent exhibition that permit learning the techniques used in the textile handicraft of the territory. The craftsmen of this town are famous for their ability in realizing carpets, with the "a pibionis" technique.      In the territory of Busachi, there is the rustic church of Santa Susanna, consecrated in 1349.  Around it are the muristenes, where the faithful people used to gather for the novena.
