The Antiquarium Turritano, a patch in Turris Lybisonis' history
At the Antiquarium Turritano of Porto Torres you can admire many findings uncovered by the scholars during the diggings in the most ancient part of the town, that is the adjacent site of the Roman colony of Turris Lybisonis. Other objects are instead preserved at the Museo Archeologico Nationale (the National Archaeological Museum) "Sanna" of Sassari. In the Antiquarium, built in a modern, two level structure, are exposed very different objects (amphorae, statues in marble, anchors, potteries, oil-lamps), mosaics of great historical-cultural- artistic value, parts of the ghost town and an altar dedicated to the cult of the Roman colony, beside some models that reconstruct in miniature the site of Turris Lybisonis.
