Su pinnettu, the shepherds'mountain shelter

“Su pinnettu” is the typical the shepherds' hut in the centre of Sardinia: it is made of a circular basement in stone and a cover of branches on a quite resistant loom of tree limbs. In Barbagie there are many examples of huts, some even constructed in recent times, in order to increase the value of one of the main peculiarity of the Sardinian agro pastoral world, especially belonging to the inner zones.
