The ancient tanneries along the Temo among the pearls of Bosa.
They are considered national monuments of industrial archaeology, thanks to a proper intervention of the Minister for the Environment and the Cultural Heritage. The tanneries, which give the name to the district of Sas Conzas of Bosa, recall a not very distant past (the ninenteenth century) which gave prosperity to this little town from the economic point of view.
The manufacturing of the animal pelts, that came from the extra-European countries too, has found in the water of the Temo river a very important resource, since huge quantitatives of it, were used to wash the material, before and during the tanning.
Unfortunately, in the sixties the activity has gone off, but the buildings will be, as soon as possible, restored and valorized, both as regards the cultural-historical aspect and to improve the hotel receiving.
