Abbasanta, Losa is one of the most visited monuments
The Nuragh Losa, located in the territory of Abbasanta, is one of the most famous. The main tower, that in origin reached a considerable height (today it reaches 13 meters), was built in the XV century B.C. and it is enclosed inside a basalt bastion with three towers: in one of these there is a drinkable water pit. An internal staircase allows the access to the second level of the main tower. The complex, which included a village as well (dated back to the XIII century B.C.), was enclosed by an high wall, of which today only a small part is visible. A circular hut was probably used for the reunions of the heads tribe. The nuragh is easily visible (and reachable) also from the 131 highway, the main artery of Sardinia. In addition to the nuraghic structure, it is possible to visit even the museum next door.
In the territory of Sedilo, in the locality of Iloi, there are the ruins of the nuragh Serra Linta and of the vast surrounding nuraghic village. Not very distant, the nuraghs of Lighei and Lure.
