Osėni, mono-towers at thousand meters of hight to watch over
At thousand meters above the sea level, Perd’e Balla, Urcèni and Serbissi (the last two are the best kept) nuraghs, in the territory of Osìni, allowed the local populations to control the passage of possible enemies in the surrounding valleys, dominated by Punta Perde Lìana. A curiosity: Serbissi nuragh has been constructed over a vast cave that was used to deposit corns and food; in case of rain, it was used as shelter for cattles. The complex is made up of two towers and a village of huts. In order to get to Serbìssi and Urcèni nuraghs, it is necessary to leave the town and go through the narrow Tacco di San Giorgio until theTacco di Osìni.
In the territory of Gairo very interesting from the archaeological point of view is the nuraghic village Is Tostoinus: it is formed by some nuraghs and many huts, that testify its importance in a territory not easy to control because of its wild nature. Still near Gairo, we signal Su Serbissi nuragh, that has a peculiarity that distinguishes it from all the others: a tunnel dug in the cliff that connects it to the cave below.
In the countrysides of Perdasdefogu it is possible to admire the nuragh S’Orcu, example of trilobed construction.
In the territory of Talana rises the nuraghic complex of Bau ‘e Tanca.
Among the nuraghs present in the countrysides of Seui very interesting is the complex of Ardasai, in the naturalistic zone of Oasi of Montarbu.
