
Near Senorbě was uncovered the famous Goddess Mother
In Senorbì, in Turriga locality, there are the ruins of a nuraghic village in which was uncovered the famous sculpture entitled to the Goddess Mother, that is possible to admire at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale (National Archaeological Museum) of Cagliari.
In the territory of Suelli, a few kilometers away from the town, you will find the nuragh Piscu.
In the inhabited center of Siurgus Donigala, there are the rests of a mono-tower nuragh, which has become the monument that identifies the town.
The nuragh of San Sebastiano is found in the city centre of Gesico, and thanks to the financings obtained from the Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, it is now a recovery object. It is a large and complex structure, that has developed around the original tower and over which was constructed a church, of which are visible today only the ruins.
We suggest visiting the ruins of the complex called Sa Domu ‘e S' Orcu, in locality Su Mausoleu, in Barrali, which allow to date back the first human settlements in the zone to nuraghic period.
In San Basilio, in locality Pranu Cannedu, there are the remains of a nuraghic village nearby which it is possible to admire a sacred pit. In the territory, in locality Bau Cabras, there are two other sacred pits of the same period. Among the many mono-tower nuraghs present in the zone, the one in better conditions is called Sa Omu ‘e s’Orcu.
In the archaeological complex of Su Angiu, in the territory of Mandas, it is possible to visit a nuragh with five towers. Beside it you can also see re visible the remains of a village founded by the Phoenicians and then colonized by the Romans.
On the hill that dominates Selegas is possible to visit the nuragh Nuritzi.
