 Discover Costa Smeralda:Costa Smeralda is the most famous Sardinian coast in the world. That is true, we assure you. You will find a mixture of enchanting sea, white sandy beaches and friendly people, that will make your holiday an unforgettable experience. However Sardegne.com wants to show you also the other side of Costa Smeralda, a few kilometres off the coast, to make you see enchanted places, uncontaminated islands and archaeological sites that tell the story of a land, which is thousands-years-old and rich in charm and energy. We will let you discover the antique civilization with a guided visit to the archaeological site of Arzachena, where you could visit the famous "Coddu Vecchiu" tombs of the giants and the nuragh Albucciu. . Continuing the journey into the local past tradition, we suggest you to visit the ethnographic museum in Luras, then carry on with an excursion towards the thousand years old olive tree of Luras, the oldest tree in Italy. Your excursion ends here with a typical lunch. To conclude we offer you a boat trip to the archipelago of La Maddalena in the months from June to September, and between a pause into the pink beach of Budelli and a plunge into the green water of Santa Maria, you will be surprised at this area of our island, which has maintained unaltered its natural ambience. Come to check it out, respect and preserve it. Day 1: arrival to chosen accommodation, free time, dinner in hotel. Day 2: breakfast, guided visit to the two archaological sites of Coddu 'Ecchiu and Nuragh Albucciu (in Italian, English, French or Spanish language). Around 2 kilometres far from Arzachena, along the road Olbia-Palau (locality Malchittu), you will start your itinerary to discover the cultural heritage of Gallura with specialized guides.It is in here that is located the Nuragh Albucciu, a mixed Nuragh. Then you will visit the "Tombe dei Giganti" of Coddu 'Ecchiu. Free time in the afternoon, dinner in hotel. Day 3: breakfast, excursion “ the heart od the Archipelag” breakfast, h.10.30 leaving from Palau for the excursion “The heart of the archipelago” (available only from June to September) - 1^ stop for a plunge into the crystal clear sea waters of Cala Corsara (Spargi) and visit to the splendid Spiaggia Rosa (Pink Beach) . 2^ stop for a swim into the natural swimming pool of Budelli (Porto della Madonna, passo degli Asinelli, passo del Topo...). Beautiful is also the 3^ swimming stop into the crystal clear sea waters of Cala S. Maria, the biggest of the archipelago. Last but not least the 4^ stop into the crystal clear sea waters of Cala Napoletana, into the wildest zone of Caprera Island, only reachable via sea. During the excursion you will be offered a plate of spaghetti with a taste of myrtle. You will come back around h. 17:30. Dinner in hotel. Day 4: breakfast, free time. Day 5: breakfast, excursion "The Islan of Mysteries" (in Italian language only): guided visit to the ethnographic museum of Luras, one of the most important in Sardinia, located in a typical Gallurese house with granite walls. In the museum the materials and the objects are living: shape and substance, action and power of the life of shapers, farmers and families of this land. First place in the Museum is for the unique exemplar of hammer of "sa femmina agabbadora", the oldest tool for euthanasia. The excursion will continue with the visit to the dolmen of Ladas, guardian of mysterious collective burials of the shaper community of the zone. We will finish with a visit to the millenarian olive trees, among which you could admire the oldest Italian tree aged more than 4.000-year-old. The lunch will in a restaurant on the Liscia lake’s banks, immersed into a dream scenery. Here you could taste the secrets of the typical cuisine of Gallura. Dinner in hotel.
