The routes of South West

The south-western area of Sardinia, usually called Sulcis-Iglesiente, is one of the most ancient surface ground of the Mediterranean, and the visit of this enchanting place represents a real journey through the geological time. This surprising and variegated region extends from the wide area of Cagliari until the province Oristano. From the capital, covering the coastline, you will meet kilometres of coasts of cliffs, sandshores, coves and mineral centers which lie on the overhanging slopes. An hinterland rich in naturalistic and archaeological beauties, history and industrial archaeology, houses the settlement of little centers and important mineral areas, now almost completely disused, which have characterized the history of these places.
