Delphina Resort Valle dell'Erica

The first part of Valle dell’ Erica, the first tourist village constructed in Sardinia, was built in 1958 (a period when it was still possible to build a few metres from the sea) by the owner of the valley, a pioneer of tourism in Sardinia. Thanks to the fascination of the area and the high quality of the structure built – indeed it received a special mention from the President of the Republic – Valle dell’Erica during the sixties became a very stylish, sought-after venue, and indeed numbered princes and kings among its guests. In 2005 it was completely refurbished by Delphina which in full respect of the splendid natural environment surrounding it and thus in harmony with the style of the original village chosen by its founder, transformed it into a resort equipped with all modern comforts, the aim being to offer something which has become somewhat rare, that is the emotion of a truly natural holiday (as in days gone by) but also in an exclusive setting.
A crystal-clear sea, just 80-200 m from the rooms, washes the shores of the charming coves of Valle dell’Erica, some with sun lounger and beach umbrella service. Also, a wide and wonderful free beach just a few steps from the Resort.

Location

Valle dell’Erica is situated to the north of Palau, on the borders of the National Marine Park of the Archipelago of La Maddalena, right opposite the fascinating uninhabited island of Spargi. It is situated 4 km from the charming village of Porto Pozzo, with its small tourist port and shops and just 12 km from S.Teresa di Gallura, a well-known tourist locality in northern Sardinia facing the Straits of Bonifacio.

Bedrooms

The Resort has 140 rooms and Junior suites, all completely refurbished in 2005, located between 80 and 200 m from the sea. All rooms are on the ground floor, with independent access and furnished in Mediterranean style. They all have a roofed veranda with 2 deck chairs (or 2 chairs and a small table), bathroom with shower and hair dryer, air conditioning, telephone, sat TV, safe, mini bar, beach towels and towelling robes. Sea view against payment of a small supplement.
Type of rooms:
Single room: room with double bed, bathroom with shower (for one adult).
Standard double: room with double bed or two twin beds, bathroom with shower (for two adults).
Classic double room: this room is more spacious than the former one, with double bed or two twin beds, bathroom with shower (for two adults + cot if requested).
Erica Junior suite: room with double bed or two twin beds, a small living room with built-in sofa bed, bathroom with shower (for 2-3 persons + cot if requested).
Mirtilla Junior suite: room with double bed or two twin beds, living room with two built-in sofa beds, bathroom with shower (for 2-3-4 persons + cot if requested).
President room: prestigious room enjoying a splendid view, with large panoramic verandas, two bathrooms and Jacuzzi tub (for 2-3-4 persons + cot if requested).
Five wonderful rooms (Giglio/Orchidea) communicating directly with the Wellness Centre and especially suited to couples seeking moments of magic and well being. These are extremely comfortable rooms with beautiful verandas, furnished in a particularly comfortable and exclusive style. Giglio and Orchidea rooms allow free entry to the Centre (adults only and during opening hours), with a Thalasso & Wellness circuit including: cardio-fitness room, multi-function pools, sauna, Turkish bath and relaxation area.
Finally there are also communicating junior suites available (from the veranda) with double rooms, a particularly suitable solution for large families.

Amenities

24 hour reception, credit cards accepted. Two sea water pools, one near the sea with a charming view, sun loungers and bar service. Another pool with varying depths, suitable for kids of all ages. Two restaurants and three bars. La Piazzetta, a pleasant meeting place with shops, a piano bar, disco, open-air theatre with occasional after-dinner live shows. Unattended parking lot, with controlled entry round the clock.
Delphina Card free for Valle dell’Erica’s guests: includes discounts in many commercial activities of different areas in Northern Sardinia.
Extra: Entrance and treatments at the Thalasso & SPA Centre, medical visits (on request), Golf, car rental, pleasure boat and inflatable boat rental, excursions, transfers, shuttle bus service from the Resort to Santa Teresa at set times, beverages and other miscellaneous extras.

Restaurant

Delphina is well known in Sardinia for the quality of its restaurants and Valle Dell’Erica goes on with this tradition with a cuisine that with quality and variety is able to give the guests pleasures and emotions every night.
