Hotel Il Querceto

The Il Querceto hotel is located in Dorgali (Nu) 8 km far from the bay of Cala Gonone. Immersed in a natural park of oak trees is the ideal place for guests willing to blend sea and sun with peace and relax. The central position of the hotel, located in the heart of the natural park of Gennargentu and of the Parco Blu, allows to achieve the attractions of the territory. Run for more than 25 years by the same family, it offers a comfortable and welcoming areas making guests feeling like being at home. The rooms' furniture have been made by local craftsman and embellished with many works of art of contemporary regional artists. The 20 rooms are larger than normal standard rooms and most of them have a balcony facing the hotel park and a view on the Gennargentu's mountains.

Location

The Hotel is located in Dorgali province of Nuoro. It is of simple access from the main ports and airport of the island: from the airport of Olbia (Airport Costa Smeralda, OLB): the length of the trip if approx 2 hours and the distance 110 km. From the airport of Cagliari Elmas (Airport Mario Mamelli, CAG): the length of the trip if approx 3 1/2 hours and the distance 208 km. Road directions: from Olbia follow the sings to Nuoro. At the intersection near Lula Dorgali turn right. From Alghero follow the direction to Macomer, and Nuoro. At the intersection near Lula Dorgali turn right. The hotel is located on the right at approx 400 meters from the city sign.

Bedrooms

The 20 bedrooms are wide and perfectly adapted to different arrangements. Most of the bedrooms face the park of the hotel, and have a lovely view to the mountains of Gennargentu. Standard room: comfortable double bedroom, extra large shower optional and balcony with view to the inner patio. Superior Double Room: better located, bigger (25-28 m2) balcony and better view. All of them have bathroom, TV and bathtub or extra large shower. Deluxe Room: even bigger but with the same characteristic as the superior room. Excellent view. All of the bedrooms have orthopaedic mattresses.

Restaurant

The restaurant, first in Dorgali since 1974, offers typical cuisine without putting aside innovative dishes for the lovers and vegetarian and hypo caloric food. The dishes vary according to the station, such as “funghi porcini” (mushrooms) or wild asparagines picked up in the surrounding countryside. An exclusive specialty if “Bouchés”, dishes based on fresh vegetable and flour ricotta with a 25 year success. The wine cellar offers a wide selection of wines, among with the typical cannonau, stirring red wine or lively wine, that accompany the traditional cuisine.
