Hotel El Faro

Built during the 50’s based on the project of architect Simon Mossa who projected the stairs of Cabirol that access the wonderful Nettuno caves. The hotel wants to represent a transatlantic, with its structure laying on the rocks and enriched with Spanish style balconies. After a long restructure in the 2003 it recovers the splendour that makes it famous during the 50’s hosting guests such as Antony Queen and Liz Taylor. Thourhg the arches of the entrance, the people is surprised by the spectacular view of Capo Caccia and the real dimension of the place. Hidden to mass tourism, it is completely surrounded by a natural reserve and the new-born sea reserve of Capo Caccia. Here, relaxing yourself in one of the 92 bedroom with typical Sardinian style, you will be able to listen to the crystal clear ocean when it hits the rocks and see the fly of a seagull accompanying the movement of the waves. The hotel wants to convey to the guests a message of total relax, purity of the surroundings and the energy with its natural essence at only 2 hours from the most important airports of Europe. The hotel has recently restructured the congress rooms with a congress room with natural light and sea view that can hold up to 180 people and other 4 smaller rooms, always with natural light, from 20 to 80 places. Due to its inimitable location, the hotel has an microclimate, when there is hot and humidity in the surrounding towns, on the peninsula of Porto Conte there will be sun and fresh air.

Location

The Hotel is located in the locality of Porto Conte, at Alghero, at 10 km approx from the airport of Alghero Fertilia and at 30 km from the port of Porto Torres.

The Hotel has 92 rooms, all of them with sea view, from which 62 double, 10 single, 5 suite, 10 Junior suite, 5 Executive rooms. All of the bedrooms have bathroom with bathtub or shower (upon request), bath kit, room service, telephone, secretary, modem access, air conditioning, hairdryer, iron (upon request with extra payment), safe box, TV, sat TV (upon request with extra payment), Minibar.

Restaurant Baia delle Ninfe, in front of Capo Caccia bay, with a wonderful sea view. International cuisine and typical Sardinian dishes, homemade pasta, fresh fish and Sardinian products such as: lamb, pork, bottarga, sheep cheese. Also, a selection of local wines such as Cannonau, Calasilente, Vermentino di Gallura, Torbato, Terre Brune.
