Hotel Catalunya

Hotel Catalunya, situated in the center of Alghero in a charming position, reopened in 1997 completely renewed. The new distribution of the common areas has been completely changed thanks to the introduction of well-equipped conference centre. The interior and exterior architectural style draws inspiration from the Catalan tradition: Greek, ornaments, colour selection, references to the past are a present to the historical identity of Alghero.

Location

The Hotel Catalunya is located at the centre of Alghero, tuourist city of the Riviera del Corallo, The city, of simple access from every part of Europe, is located at only 36 km from the port of Porto Torres and around 10 km from the internation airport of Fertilia.

Rooms

Its 128 rooms are all furnished with elegance are divided into 4 different types: twin room, with two single beds; double room a bit bigger and with a single sofa-bed for an extra guest. Junior suite, on the eighth floor, made up of two rooms: a night zone with a double bed and a small living room with a sofa-bed for a third person. These rooms have a balcony facing the harbour. Finally the Corner Suite, located on different floors, can host up to 4 people. All of the rooms have: air conditioning (hot/cold), telephone, colour tv, safe, minibar, bathroom with shower or tub, hairdryer, room service.

Restaurant

The buffet restaurant located on the first floor has a nice view on the public gardens. It is composed of two separate rooms, with a total capacity of 250 seats. Here, guests can enjoy a nice international breakfast everyday with coffee or tea, croissants, milk and cereals, fruit juices and fresh fruit, different types of yoghurt and jams. Room service is available upon request. The lunch buffet offers different choices: a great variety of hors of d'oeuvre, fish or meat dishes, typical or international, numerous side-dishes, deserts made by our chef, all accompanied by vintage local wines.
The panoramic restaurant offers and a refined atmosphere besides a charming panoramic view. The room is used only for special occasions as weddings, gala dinners and banquets. Every year the New Year's eve party is celebrated in this restaurant; here you can watch one of the most spectacular fireworks show.
