 The secrets of South-West:A visit in the South-West Region, one of the first lands that emerged from the Mediterran area, is an authentic journey through geological time. We suggest you to drive along the coastline from Teulada to Cagliari, where rocks, long sandy beaches and littles bays are one after the other and, if you like the archaelogical sites do not miss to visit Nora (Pula). A special mention is due to the industrial archaology of this area, which is the mining district of Sardinia. Many are the mine to be mentioned: from "Galleria Henry" in Buggerru, to the Mine of San Giovanni a Gonnesa, with the peculiarity of the Cave of Santa Barbara inside of it, the Mine of Monteponi in Iglesias, the Mine of Montevecchio in Guspini. We have chosen for you a guided visit to the Mine of Porto Flavia, in Masua (Nebida-Iglesias), which is an example of an interesting engineering organisation and at the same time offers a breathtaking panorama on the beautiful limestone stack known with the name of " Pan di Zucchero". At the end of the visit a typical lunch on a panoramic restaurant will allow you to admire the beautiful location facing the coast. People say taht king Salomone dressed seasilk clothes as well. The only mistress of byssus in the world, Chiara Vigo will illustrate the story of byssus and its working phases in the rooms of the Granatico Mount, where according to an ancient tradition of the phoenician period, the seasilk was weaved, dyed and handed on for generations. Free time in the afternoon and dinner in hotel. Day 5: breakfast, trasfer to Villaperuccio and visit to Montessu: one of the biggest rupestrian cemetery of the Sardinian Prehistoric Age.
