Villa La Volta

Stintino is located in the promontory of Capo Falcone, rightly regarded as a kind of paradise because of its natural beauties including the sea of La Pelosa beach. The wide extension of Mediterranean vegetation is also interesting in terms of fauna. The Asinara island, former penal colony and now a nature reserve, lies right in front of the promontory. Stintino is the most important town in the area: a fishing town that today bases its economy mainly on tourism. Down on the western coast, before Alghero, is the Argentiera area, important both from the historical and tourist point of view for the old disused mine and the mining village buildings.
